Which is your favorite classic Beatles’ song, and why?

I'm partial to Hey Jude, because it's got such a calming feel to it.

Which song associated with musician Paul McCartney is your favorite, and why?

I have a weakness for Hey Jude.  There are so many positive memories associated with it, as well as a million and one reasons why I associate it with my favorite male characters from most of my fandoms.

I couldn't win.

The Big sky got to feeling too big, so I came back to the city, and found everything a shambles.  My life had fallen apart in the space of the months I spent on the edge of the wasteland.  I cried hot, slaty tears as I gazed upon what my absence had wrought.

Three graves, all in a line, stand now where once there was only grass.

Patrick.  Aly.  Mum.

I can't help but feel that it's all my fault.  If I had been here, would it have happened?

Nobody will tell me what happened.  Not directly, anyway.  But I overheard a conversation between my cousin Gabe and his partner, Daniel, at my aunt's house the other day.

Aly got out, and went down to my old apartment, the one I'd signed over to Patrick when I escaped to parts unknown.  Patrick, like a good twin brother, wouldn't tell her where I was.  She camped out on his balcony for nearly a week.  When he told her to get lost of he'd call the institution and find out if she was really supposed to be out, she clubbed him to death with a lamp.  My lovely neighbor lady called the cops when she heard Aly screaming at Patrick after she'd killed him.  They got there as she was jumping off the balcony.  My apartment is only a couple floors up, so she came away with broken legs and little else.  They took her into custody and took her to the hospital.  Aly's always been a smart little bitch, though, and her guards underestimated her capacity for improvisation.  She hung herself from the curtain track with the tubing from her IV while the guard was changing.

Mum's story is a little more succinct.  She had been in bad health for years, so it came as no surprise when she passed from a heart attack after hearing that Patrick was dead.  She even waited until the policeman who told her left before she collapsed.

I feel like an incomplete puzzle.  I wish now, more than ever before, that I had a steady lover to hold me together.  I need someone with the strength to support me while I recover, but who can fall into a submissive state once I'm whole again.  Those kinds of people are extremely rare.  I haven't found one yet.

Thanksgiving is almost here in the U.S., heralding the start of the holiday season and the first of many meals where you might be confronted with a traditional dish that you happen to find disgusting. What holiday food do you hate to see on the table?
Nothing toys with my gag reflex quite like green bean casserole.  Whoever decided that this concoction of otherwise-edible foodstuffs was food needs to be dragged out into the street and shot.  Repeatedly.  In the crotch.

Another dreaded offering of the Thanksgiving table is the disgusting canned gelatin known as cranberry sauce.  If it was actually sauce and not a cold, jiggling, can-shaped mass of cranberry-flavored vomit, I might actually enjoy it.

But mostly, I enjoy Thanksgiving and the myriad Mormon family recipes incorporated into the festive event.  Thanks to those crazy God-worshippers with huge families, I have plenty of relatives, each of whom has their own recipe for Thanksgiving goodness which has been passed down through the years.  Thousands of people, millions of dishes.  Ah, the autumn/winter holidays are the best times to be a foodie in my family.

I haven't posted anything on my LJ for a while.  I've been spending far too much time on Neopets.

Rodney's Aunt Miriel died recently and he inherited this freakin' HUGE mansion in the Wyoming back country with a massive estate to go with it.  Rodney, being the most awesomest person ever, has offered to let me move in, too.  Dude, we went to check it out a couple of days ago and the en suite bathroom connected to my bedroom is the size of an Olympic swimming pool!  The walk-in closet is bigger than my apartment!  I'm definitely going!

Also, I have the new Guitar Hero game.  I've already beaten it on Easy and Medium mode.  On both Guitar and Bass settings.

Right now, though, I need to go downstairs and do some fancy form filling and paper signing to transfer my apartment to my twin brother Patrick's name.
